'Young Band Night' at The Shed, Leicester.
Wednesday 20th November 2013

"The Shed’s young bands night saw an amazingly good performance from Derby band Parasight. These five teenagers played like seasoned professionals; unlike a lot of young bands, they made a splash with their scintillating stage craft in which the musicians threw some shapes and put a lively dose of energy into what they were doing.  The band’s lead vocalist certainly knew how to rock out and he was well backed by the other members of team Parasight. Adding to the overall wow-factor were stunning guitar solos and  good vocal layers from the bassist and guitarist. When it comes to big, bold classic rock songs, these young guys have got it fixed."

"From Derby a young band gave an amazingly good performance. Parasight put on a top-class performance.  I have seen bands twice their age play half as good as these young fellas."

"Take a look at the kids on the street, no they never miss a beat

Even though the whole town of Beeston is in the process of being demolished to make way for the trams, it's actually really cool around here. For example, coming into the town centre today and picking my way through the rubble that used to be The Square, I heard the sound of drums coming from the marquee where they regularly have musical events. Actually, I thought to myself, that's really good drumming - the kind of sound made by someone who actually knows what they're doing, rather than someone who's just waving drumsticks around and hoping for the best. Then an equally good guitar chimed in, so I went over to check out what turned out to be Parasight - a really cool band composed of four teenagers, who you should definitely check out if you get the chance. The guitar playing when they did Sweet Child Of Mine was either a recording that they were miming to or genuinely that awesome, I couldn't quite decide."

Just for the record, Parasight do not use backing tracks and certainly don't mime! What you see is what you get.

"Homegrown Talent.

The allotment stage, was of course the location for the up and coming talent of the country and another amazing act was located here on the sunday.

'Parasight' drew in a large audience and captivated those attending the stage with their youthful energy and had skills that matched Dragonforce, coming out of the hands of a teenager which amazed me personally, how such talent could be mastered at such a young age, these guys are definitely ones to watch and I would not be surprised to see them signed up shortly."
